Casey's Diner and my family go back three generations. My
grandfather and family would go there for "dogs and
coffee," and I was born the night my Mom and Dad went to
Casey's for an "all around." So the place is in my blood.
The tiny caboose of a diner has perhaps 10 stools, and an
outside pick up window. They have been steaming the dogs
in what appears to be the original steamer. The orginal
varnish on the interior wood is cracked and, I am sure,
smells like the burgers and dogs that have been served
there for generations.
Everytime I go "home," I make a point of going for two
all-around dogs and a Pepsi. (Note: for women, their dogs
are cut in half; men's dogs are left whole.)
If you are in Natick, have two all-arounds for me.
